Online ADHD assessment conversation
What it involves

A structured clinical conversation

The NHS describes adult ADHD as a condition that can affect attention, activity levels and impulse control. We gather information with care and explain why each step matters.

  • A detailed clinical interview
  • Review of attention, impulsivity, restlessness and emotional regulation
  • Developmental, educational and occupational history
  • Functional impact across work, study, relationships and daily life
  • Screening for other mental health or neurodevelopmental factors
  • Risk review and baseline physical health where relevant
Our online ADHD pathway

Six clear steps

01

Initial enquiry & screening

We listen to your concerns and check whether online assessment is suitable. If we are not the right fit, we say so and suggest alternatives.

02

ADHD assessment

Questionnaires and a structured online assessment exploring symptoms, history, impact, strengths and risks.

03

Diagnosis & feedback

We explain the outcome in a clear feedback session and provide a written report, with time to ask questions.

04

Treatment planning

If ADHD is diagnosed, we discuss medication and non-medication options collaboratively.

05

Monitoring & stabilisation

We review response, side effects, wellbeing and physical health to reach a stable, safe plan.

06

Shared care & ongoing support

Shared-care documentation and optional extended monitoring where clinically appropriate.

Treatment & medication support

Where medication is appropriate, planning is supported by specialist psychiatric input, with attention to physical health, history and cardiovascular risk.

  • Shared decision-making with you and your GP
  • Clear explanation of benefits, side effects and alternatives
  • Gradual titration and regular reviews

Non-medication support

Where medication is not appropriate, or alongside it, we offer practical support tailored to you.

  • ADHD psychoeducation
  • Strategies for planning, routines and prioritising
  • Emotional regulation and workplace adjustment guidance
FAQ

Common questions, answered plainly

Do I need a GP referral?

You may be able to contact us directly. If medication, shared care or longer-term prescribing might be part of your support, we will talk with you about involving your GP, with your consent.

How long does the pathway take?

This varies from person to person. When you enquire, we will talk you through the likely timescales for each stage.

Can you prescribe ADHD medication?

Medication may be an option if it is clinically appropriate and safe. We explain the choices and decide with you, supported by specialist psychiatric input and careful monitoring.

What if I do not receive an ADHD diagnosis?

We still take your concerns seriously, explain the outcome with care and talk through other explanations, support options or onward referrals where appropriate.
